Altberg desert boots have seen operational service for over 16 years in the Oman, Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan. They have been tried and tested on expeditions to some of the harshest environments on the planet.
The boots are lightweight, shock absorbing and have a micro midsole combination that gives some resistance to heat transfer from the ground. The MKII boot has a new upper design - is part lined with absorbant cambrelle and uses the more durable vibram sole.

The sole is a micro/rubber open cleat construction, which gives reasonable grip in muddy conditions, however, due to its lightweight, shock absorbing properties it can also 'double' as a good tabbing boot or 'everyday' boot. For more extreme conditions the Jungle Classic is better as a specific jungle boot - however if your requirement is for a more versatile boot - the microlite is better.

The Sneeker Aqua is a further development of the Sneeker Original - This is an extremely lightweight, flexible boot with high leg support. Unique graded underfoot midsole flex to give optimum 'kneel to fire' boot flex - whilst retaining good torsional resistance for deployment on uneven terrain.
The Sneeker Aqua has a sympatex waterproof membrane lining and a dual density vibram cushion sole.

The Sneeker Boot is a specialist boot - first developed for military uses in close proximity/rapid deployment situations. It has become popular on a more widespread basis as a non waterproof military 'tabbing' boot and with the police as a lightweight general duties boot or a firearms boot for urban situations. The midsole is a unique design which allows sufficient forefoot flex for 'kneel to fire' whilst retaining good torsional resistance for load carrying on uneven surfaces. The MKII version uses a new upper design and internal cambrelle lower foot lining and new microlite vibram sole.

The Defender Microlite is a classic Altberg military boot designed for rough terrain/rural use. This boot is extremely lightweight with a shock absorbing sole. The lining is non waterproof membrane cambrelle, which is breathable and allows the boot to dry out more quickly from wet - this boot is cooler on hot days compared with a boot using a waterproof membrane lining. The Defender Microlite is an excellent general purpose military boot designed for rough terrain.
